JetBlue refunding base fare for passengers with names starting with “PAT” between ATL and BOS for Super Bowl

JetBlue has been showing a lot of love for Patriots fans over the last few weeks by offering discounted prices to and from Atlanta.

In an attempt to drum up as much support for today’s Super Bowl game, they are once again stepping it up by refunding the base fare for any passenger whose first name starts with the letters “P-A-T” and is flying to and from Boston (BOS) and Atlanta (ATL) today only (February 3, 2019).

If you live in Boston and are still considering trying to get to the game, now would be a great time to book. For those that are already booked, JetBlue will send you the credit to your Travel Bank account, which could then be used to purchase tickets in the future. Qualifying passengers should receive an email about this as well.

Just a few weeks ago, the airline announced the addition flights for the big game, trolling Atlanta football fans in the process.

“We just added a few more flights to Atlanta for the big game. More than 3. Fewer than 28.”

If you’re not an American football fan, the joke is in reference to the Super Bowl LI game which took place in February 2017 where the New England Patriots were playing the Atlanta Falcons. Even though the Falcons led the game by 25 points (28-3), the Patriots made a huge come back, taking the lead with a final score of 34-28 in favour of the Patriots.
