Air France Adding Panama To Caribbean Network

Air France currently bases most of its operations of out, you guessed it, France. However, they do maintain a very small operation out of the French West Indies in the Caribbean, connecting a handful of French territories in the region.

Using two Airbus A320s, Air France operates flights out of both Guadeloupe (PTP) and Martinique (FDF), with flights to Miami (MIA), Cayenne (CAY) and Punta Cana (PUJ). Flights to Cayenne in South American’s French Guiana also continue further on to Belem (BEL) and Fortaleza (FOR).

Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana are all overseas departments of France, and each have respective flight connections to the mainland. Many of the flights within the Caribbean operate as a milk run, so someone flying Air France from Miami can end up in Cayenne via stops in Guadeloupe and Martinique, all while remaining on board during those stops.

Air France has announced that it will add flights between Guadeloupe and Panama City (PTY) starting December 11, 2026. The airline will operate twice weekly flights between the two destinations on Mondays and Fridays until March 5, 2027.

As Air France is also a partner with Panama’s Copa Airlines, customers also have the option to book connections to any of Copa’s cities across the Americas via Panama. Copa has a huge footprint across the Caribbean, North, Central and South America.
