JetBlue Adds Emerald Coast To Its Route Network

JetBlue has announced seasonal service to Florida’s Emerald Coast from two of east coast hubs. Starting March 5, 2026, JetBlue will fly five times weekly from both Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Destin – Fort Walton Beach (VPS).
“Florida continues to be a place where JetBlue’s combination of great service and value resonates strongly with travelers,” said Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s vice president, network planning and airline partnerships. “By adding Destin–Fort Walton Beach to our map, we’re bringing more choices to customers in Boston and New York while opening the door for Emerald Coast residents to connect easily to the Northeast and beyond.”

This latest announcement is part of their strategy to expand its presence in Florida. Starting in early December of this year, they also plan to launch year-round daily flights from both Boston and New York to two other smaller Florida cities, that being Daytona Beach (DAB) and Vero Beach (VRB).
When sea, sun and sand come to mind, many people think about South Florida, but really those beaches are pretty average compared to the clear waters running along the Emerald Coast. The quartz sand is so much nicer due to the runoff from the Appalachian Mountains compared to that gritty, harsh material used along South Florida’s east coast beaches.
The Emerald Coast has always been a favorite for those looking for something more laid back and family-oriented. That’s why most flights in and out of Destin tend to be seasonal.
