Alaska Airlines is adding three new non-stop routes to Mexico to its Winter 2021 calendar. As part of its campaign to add more sunny destinations to its schedule, the airline will be flying out of San Francisco (SFO) to Loreto (LTO), Baja California, as well as Mazatlán (MZT) and Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH) in Guerrero.
The seasonal flights will run from December 18, 2021 to April 16, 2022, with once-weekly round-trip service to each destination. The routes will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft.
The airline is also running a promotion, offering 30% off select one-way fares to any Mexican city operated by the airline.
“Our guests are eager to relax, disconnect and have fun, and the places we fly to in Mexico are ideal locations to do that,” said Brett Catlin, vice president of network and alliances at Alaska Airlines. “With a total of seven nonstop destinations from the Bay Area this winter, including options from San Francisco and San Jose, tropical paradise is just a few hours away. Plus, we offer convenient nonstops from Los Angeles and San Diego to a range of destinations in Mexico and across Latin America.”
Besides the recently announced routes, Alaska also has nonstop flights from San Francisco to Cancún, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta. They also operate flights from San Jose in the Bay Area, with service to Guadalajara, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta.
