Air France has lifted the veil on its refurbished Montreal-Trudeau Airport lounge, offering business class and Flying Blue Elite Plus, and respective SkyTeam business class and SkyTeam Elite Plus customers an upgraded experience.
The upgraded lounge, which is managed by Plaza Premium Group, utilizes almost 5,300 square feet of space to provide seating for up to 149 patrons. The re-designed space utilizes bolder shades of blue, grey, along with white and touches of red to brighten up the area. There is also a large bay window, offering an expansive view of the runways, aircraft at the gate and one of the slopes of Mount Royal overlooking the city of Montreal.
On entry, guests can either be filtered in by one of the desk agents, or via a self check-in kiosk which automatically validates whether guests are entitled to free access or not. Once inside, guests will have access to the large lounge area with the basics including sofas and individual seats, with free WiFi and USB power ports. Flying Blue Ultimate customers have access to a more private space, with large sofas and seats.
The lounge features a self-service buffet lounge serving French hot and cold, savoury and sweet dishes. There is also a bar area offering a selection of French wines and champagnes. The lounge will also introduce its “Night Service” where business class customers traveling from Montreal to France on the last evening flight can request their full-service meal experience in the lounge if they prefer to use their flight time to rest. Starters, hot dishes, cheese, desserts and a wine and champagne list will be offered to these eligible clients.
By default, those eligible for Night Service will be served meals both in the lounge and in the air, but guests can choose to withhold meals on board to avoid waste.
There is also a work space, along with areas to freshen up and even catch a shower before your flight.
The Air France lounge in Montreal is open daily from 2pm to 10pm for Air France and KLM customers. Access is free for Business and Flying Blue Elite Plus customers (or equivalent SkyTeam status), and customers traveling in Economy or Premium Economy can also purchase lounge access subject to availability.
