The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being hosted across multiple cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico. As a result, La Compagnie is boosting capacity during June and September to cover the increased demand.

The boutique, all-business-class carrier currently operates two Airbus A321neos, operating transatlantic flights from Paris Orly (ORY), Milan (MXP) and Nice (NCE) to Newark (EWR). According to ch-aviation, La Compagnie plans to lease a Boeing 757-200 from Icelandair, specifically a charter-configured 757 registered TF-FIA.

This Boeing 757 features 80 business class seats, but according to La Compagnie, 76 will be available for purchase per flight, lining up with the same number on their A321neos. This would make it easier to manage aircraft swaps, avoiding any chance of locking that aircraft to a specific route and flight.

The 757 will only be deployed on flights to Newark from Milan and Paris, while its Nice flights will continue to be operated with their A321neos. Flights are scattered throughout June and September, and are subject to change.

TF-FIA is a 25 1/2-year-old Boeing 757-200, originally joining Iberia’s fleet in August 2000 before going over to Icelandair in May 2007. Since then, it has flown in a scheduled passenger capacity before being converted into a chart-specific aircraft with 80 business class seats in a 2-2 configuration. In the past few years, they flew charters luxury charters on behalf of National Geographic Expeditions and Captain’s Choice.

While on the topic of the World Cup, La Compagnie has also been named official airline of the France national football team. The partnership will officially launch with the team’s upcoming trip to the United States this March for two international friendlies: against Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Boston on Thursday, March 26, and against Colombia at Northwest Stadium in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, March 29. La Compagnie will also operate the team’s dedicated transatlantic flights for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
