Turkish Airlines is expanding its route network once again, this time adding another U.S. city to its list of destinations. The airline has announced plans to start service to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) in Texas from September 24, 2021.

Turkish plans to service the route 4 times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) with one of their Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The flight departs Istanbul (IST) at 2:10 p.m. local time and is expected to arrive in Dallas at 6:55 p.m. local time, making the trip in 12 hours and 45 minutes. The flight turns around as TK192, departing DFW at 8:25 p.m. local time for a shorter flight time of 11 hours and 25 minutes with an expected landing time in Istanbul of 3:50 p.m. local time the following day. Turkish’s 787-9s can seat 300 people, with 30 in business class and 270 in economy.

Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M. İlker Aycı stated: “With the opening of our 11th US gateway, we look forward to welcoming travelers aboard this new route to experience our world-class service, award-winning cuisine and world-famous Turkish hospitality. We continue to make health and safety a top priority for our passengers and employees and maintain a strong commitment to keeping the world connected through our expanded North American presence.”

“DFW Airport is committed to connecting its customers to destinations all across the world. Welcoming Turkish Airlines as our newest international partner underscores that commitment. This new flight enables DFW customers to travel directly to Istanbul and then directly to destinations across five continents,” said Sean Donohue, Chief Executive Office, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

The new route makes it the 11th U.S. gateway destination in its network, bringing the airline’s total to 326 destinations served over 127 countries.
